At 23 years old, I became an Auxiliary Deputy with McHenry County Sheriff's Office.  This position molded my career decision as a law enforcement officer.  In 2004, I moved to the Great State of North Carolina and moved to a beautiful, (warm weathered) City called Hickory.  In 2004, I attended BLET and became a police officer in the Town of Catawba.  In 2006, I went to work for the Town of Longview as a police officer.  After a couple of years, Town of Catawba was approved for another full time officer and so I accepted the offer,  In 2009, I became the Interim Chief of Police and in 2010, Mayor Vance Readiling swore me in as the Chief of Police.  In 2015, I decided to make a career change and went to work for Lowes Foods as a Co-Manager,  My public service and love for the community was a perfect fit for Lowes Foods culture.  Lowes Foods and I believe in "growing our community" and we strive in doing so.
During these years, I met my beautiful Chelsea and we were married in 2010.  We have three wonderful children named Allie, Audrey, and Charlie,  Our kids attend Webb Murray Elementary School.  I'm currently the PTO President at Webb Murray Elementary School and have been so since 2018,  Our PTO board has collected donations for media furniture upgrades for our students,  We've also reimbursed each teacher $100.00 for school supplies.  Our PTO started a clothing closet for our less fortunate students.  We also don't believe children should miss field trips for lack of funds,  We use PTO funds to make field trips happen for ALL students.
